Minister of Worship Pastor Emeritus Donald Stanley Davenport Deacon of the Day Deacon Leon Strout Ushers of the Day Teresa Farrington & Julie Rogers Help for Ukraine. A member of our church has generously offered a matching donation up to $1000 for every dollar donated by our church body to aid the suffering and displaced people of war-torn Ukraine. If you would like to donate, please do so by Sunday April 3rd. The funds raised will be donated by the church to “World Vision” and specifically dedicated to its ongoing work of delivering humanitarian aid to the children and families of Ukraine.
BBB (Bible Bread & Broth) Supper April 8 at 5:30 P.M. If you plan to attend sign up on the bulletin board ASAP in Johnson Hall. Palm Sunday April 10 commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of Holy Week, the final week of Lent. The Ladies Group meets on April 14 at 12 noon. Bring a bag lunch, drink & dessert will be” provided. We will be making cards. Easter Sunday April 17. Please let Deanna know if you are putting a plant on the altar in memory of a loved one. Easter Sunday is the official day for receiving New Members into the Church. Anyone that would like to become a member of the church please let Pastor Alec or Pastor Don know. Our first dine-in Baked Bean Supper April 23 from 4 to 6 P.M. Baked Beans, hot dogs, biscuits, coleslaw, casseroles, salads & homemade pies. We hope to see you all there. Scholarship Committee is accepting High School Senior Graduates’ names of children or grandchildren of MCC Members. Give names to Arlene (207-485-4630) & a packet will be sent out. Considering the vastly improved public health environment, masks are “optional” for our church services and events.
