Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of “Holy Week”, the final week of Lent.

 

Maundy Thursday April 14th - 7 pm Tenebrae Service with Holy Communion recalling the last Supper, betrayal, arrest & desertion.

 

Good Friday April 15th - 7 pm “Service of Darkness” remembering the crucifixion of Christ with special music, scripture & prayer.

 

Holy Saturday April 16th 8 am to 6 pm Sanctuary open for prayer.

 

Easter Sunday “Christ Arose” April 17th - 10 am “Celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord”!

 

The Ladies Group meets on April 14 at 12 noon.  Bring a bag lunch, drink & dessert will be provided. We will be making cards.                        

 

Our First Public Dine-in Baked Bean Supper April 23 from

4 to 6 P.M.  Baked Beans, hot dogs, biscuits, coleslaw, casseroles, salads & homemade pies.  We hope to see you all there. 

 

Executive Board meets April 24th after church.

 

Scholarship Committee is accepting High School Senior Graduates’ names of children or grandchildren of MCC Members. Give names to Arlene (207-485-4630) & a packet will be sent out.
